ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

Since at CDL Technical & Motorcycle Driving  School, we offer CDL Courses & third party CDL skills testing, as well as the full 15 hour Basic Motorcycle Course for future motorcyclists, we have divided the enrollment requirements into two different divisions. Please click accordingly:

Enrollment requirements to obtain your CDL:

In order to be considered for enrollment in the courses offered at CDL Technical & Motorcycle Driving  School, each applicant must possess the following qualifications:

All prospective applicants must complete a “Qualification Admissions Form” and be interviewed by a representative of the institution.

Be at least 18 years old (21 interstate).

Possess a valid driver’s license (NOT SUSPENDED IN ANY OTHER STATE).

Be able to obtain a CDL learner’s permit or have a CDL learner’s permit. Otherwise, CDL Technical & Motorcycle Driving School will assist you in obtaining a CDL learner’s permit.

Must pass a DOT (FMCSA) physical examination.

Must pass a DOT (FMCSA) (Part 382 CSAUT) drug test before attending the institution.

Must be drug and alcohol free, and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as per DOT (FMCSA) (Part 382 CSAUT) requirements while attending in vehicle training.

Complete an “Enrollment Agreement”.

Upon completion of the enrollment procedures, student services will assist the applicants in preparing for a successful entry into CDL Technical & Motorcycle Driving School. Student services will finalize all necessary paperwork, including the appropriate enrollment documents needed by the applicants.

CDL Technical & Motorcycle Driving School recognizes that some applicants may not meet the entire enrollment requirements listed above. These applicants are encouraged to speak with the CDL Technical & Motorcycle Driving School management for assistance.

Enrollment requirements to obtain your Motorcycle Endorsement

In order to be considered for enrollment in the Basic Rider Course (BCR) and obtain your certification card / A “Motorcycle Only” driver license at CDL Technical & Motorcycle Driving School, each applicant must possess the following qualifications:

Be at least 16 years old, and if under 18, hold a “Learner’s License” for one year with no traffic convictions.
Pass the same knowledge test as for a regular Class E operator’s driver license.
You must complete the basic 15 hours BRC Course.

After you complete the course at CDL Technical & Motorcycle Driving School, go to a driver license office or tax collector office that issues licenses and inform them that you completed the course. Upon providing proper ID and paying the required endorsements fees, your license will be issued with a motorcycle endorsement.
